Elk Island
Ever been to Elk Island? Wow…we try to make it there every year and every time I go, I am amazed at the beauty in this place. It’s just a short drive from Edmonton and so majestic. Definitely worth the 1/2 hour drive. We’ll be spending many days there this year….full of hiking, playing, picnics and fun! I’ve never seen so many Bison as I did this day…they were everywhere…even came to out little picnic spot to check us out. Enjoy a few images from our day there.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
I hope you’re all enjoying this day of love! It used to be that this day was mostly for couples or people in love but I’m finding more and more that it is a day to express the love you have for the people that are in your life. Our Valentine’s Day was very nice…David surprised me all weekend long, first with flowers for me and chocolates for the kids…followed by a night of dancing and this wonderful homemade chocolate fudge cake that he made with the help of our kids…it is so good!…I love that Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be filled with consumerism either..the kids played us a special song on the piano and made homemade cards for us as their valentine’s gift! So wonderful!!

David and I were shooting downtown and decided to take a walk by the new aga… The more I took photos of the building the more I started to like it. I can’t wait to visit inside now!
